Product range and services:

Core product is the standard software DOPE/Dialog, a process-controlled correspondence system with rule-based text modules for automatic and interactive creation of highly personalized business documents (like correspondence, policies, contracts …). Automatically and interactively generated correspondence play an enormously important role in terms of an effective customer services strategy. DOPE/Dialog reduces the costs for design, programming, handling, printing as well as postal and forwarding charges. It reduces the time-to-market cycles and increases the quality of correspondence and the efficiency of processing.

Summary of the company’s history:

Icon’s long term experience in projects – especially in the field of process integrated document generation – lead to the development of the DOPE product suite in 1999 which was initially planed to be an enhancement respectively the replacement of the IBM text system ASF which is used by large corporate clients. Since 2002 a lot of well-known companies of the insurance business produce their correspondence with the DOPE suite, which was expanded to be a modern development and production platform for all kinds of output. A huge variety of large-scale enterprises use DOPE components as integral part of ambitious projects that deal with application development throughout the company.

The icon personnel now consists of 60 employees, more than half of it is concerned with the product field. icon is geared to open standards like Java, XML and other suggestions from the W3C consortium. The icon consultants ensure the ideal adaption of solutions to the customer’s needs which they create by a detailed analysis in the run up and a consequent project support. This way they guarantee a high customer satisfaction as well as user acceptance.

The icon clientele comprises more than 50 large-scale enterprises from the financial business, the service sector and the public administration.
