Document management in the modern business systems environment does not only challenge the imagination of solution creators, but also stimulates the very technology and sets the security, flexibility and comfort requirements for restriction-free operations. The document was, up until recently, a set of sheets of paper with certain data (in the form of characters, numeric or graphic), while today the document also includes an e-mail, a sound recording, a video recording, and numerous forms of digital or digitized text records, and all this should be part of a unified system for managing such content, following the uniform rules and meeting all the stringent criteria of international standards.
Some of the demands that are now set requirements for the well-established DMS (document management system) we anticipated, others we accepted as a requirement and implemented them, we even influenced the setting of some standards ourselves, in short - we incorporated twenty years of experience in archiving and managing documents in the product which now presents a platform of integrated solutions - SPIDER.
Whether we are discussing a solution for electronic archives (Spider.Net e-archives), a system to manage business processes (Spider.Net DocFlow), the tools for self-creation of the workflow system (Process Designer), the tool for digital signage using various digital certificates (SignIT) or the system for the application of business intelligence on archives (Spider BI), with all the requirements mentioned above, we also include speed, flexibility, reliability and above all – the security of information and documents in the system.
When it comes to supporting IT services that are sometimes the requirement for the full implementation of Spider solutions, and sometimes just the momentary, initial support to our clients in establishing DMS, we have executed a unique project in the region - in a modernly equipped facility - Spider Data Center, we provide the storage and safekeeping of all types of documents belonging to MFC’s business partners, through analog and digital archiving. The Data Center is capable of ensuring the confidentiality and security of documents as they are being transferred to the selected form, following the highest European standards, and in accordance with the applicable legal regulation. Having such a complex treatment of the document makes our document management system (DMS) offer complete – starting from the software and the hardware for the transfer of documents to an electronic form, the software for manipulation of documents in a business environment, all the way to document protection.
Rapid changes in technology, the even more rapid changes in requirements of the business environment, the legislative changes in our country, which are a result of the transition and the dynamics of the world IT market, were, for us in the MFC company, simply a reason to make extra effort to try and outrun these changes, and meet them all with a ready solution. We continuously invest in staff education, as well as in young people who we sponsor through the course of their education; we monitor the development of information technology, test and implement only the most effective tools and the most modern of devices.
